INDUSTRIAL ENERGY MONITORING
A real-world industrial software system engineered to capture, aggregate, visualize, and analyze electrical power consumption across discrete manufacturing departments, induction furnaces, and plant machinery in real time.
The Challenge
At Paranjape Autocast Pvt. Ltd., the foundry facility previously relied on manual meter logs taken on physical paper registers by operators walking between sub-meters at each shift change. Peak load demand spikes went unnoticed until monthly utility penalty invoices arrived, leaving management with zero live visibility into departmental consumption or equipment leaks.
The Engineering Approach
TEK10 engineered an automated industrial telemetry pipeline, integrating multi-function energy meters across major plant feeders using RS485 / Modbus protocols wired into an edge IoT gateway. Telemetry is streamed into a high-throughput time-series database and rendered on responsive operational dashboards, permanently eliminating manual meter logbooks.
Verified Operational Impact
Enabled plant management to track specific energy consumption (kWh/Ton) in real time, pinpointing off-peak heating inefficiencies and replacing manual shift paper logs with automated daily shift reports.
